Dear Mr. Zimmerman,

I am responding to your ad I saw in the Columbus Dispatch for an RN at the Zanesville Community Hospital. As you can see from my resume, which I have attached for your review, I have more than 20 years’ experience as an RN in a hospital setting.

I have received several awards for outstanding patient care, and I have been employee of the month 29 times in my years of service.

I am most interested in your position at the Zanesville branch, as this is where my family is relocating. Although, continuing to drive to OSU Medical Center every day is a possibility, I don’t want to take an extra 3 hours commute time away from my family.

I have been well taken care of at OSU, but being a larger hospital has many pluses and minuses. I long for the small town country feel that a hospital like yours could provide.

My qualifications more than meet the desires for this position. After you review my resume, I would like to sit down and talk with you further regarding this job opportunity. I am highly motivated, have a great reputation and am looking for an opportunity like this to bring me closer to my family.

I look forward to discussing this position with you further and to have a time to sit down and tell you how my experience can lead to great things at Zanesville Community Hospital.

Sincerely,

Johanna Collins
