When you leave a business, because a new job or retirement, it is imperative to leave on good standing.
The email of resignation is what is expected on the professional front, but friends and co-workers require a little more of a personal touch.
A goodbye email as it is often called, is a way to say bye to people that you have grown fond of over the years.
Writing This Type Of Email
Writing this type of email lets the fellow employees know what an upstanding person you are.
These warm and heartfelt emails are not only a goodwill gesture, but they will give you a chance to give contact information to people you have come to know and love.
This is not a formal email, though it can be if you choose to make it one. Traditionally, it should be addressed as “Dear Coworkers.” You could also say “Hello Team,” if you are more of a chipper individual.
The email should be started with the reason why you are leaving your position. If you have taken a job across the country, be sure to fill them in on some of the juicy details.
Don’t Go Into Personal Stuff
Don’t go into personal stuff and get really deep into the situation, but just make sure that you say just enough to let them know you are leaving for a better opportunity.
Make sure the tone of the farewell email is positive and never take this time to throw negative remarks about the company or a fellow worker.
While people leave everyday due to a falling out with the employer, it is best not to address those concerns in this type of email. What is proper is to list some good times and memories that you have of the place.
Remember, you are addressing the entire staff as a whole, so adding humor is appreciated.

Dear Co-workers:
I wanted to let you all know that next Friday, February 28, 2022 will be my last day in the office. After a great deal of contemplation, I have decided to accept the offer made to me by World Wide Group, and will be joining the team as a head marketer.
I would like to take this occasion to let each one of you know that working with you kind folks and getting to know you, has been one of the best experiences of my life.
Together we have laughed, cried and became close friends. I value each one of your friendships and your dedication to the company we helped grow into the mega giant it is today.
As I contemplate leaving such a wonderful company, I am overwhelmed with emotions. I have been so happy for the past 10 years working here, but a new position with a nice benefit package has lured me to another path in life.

I also will never forget the dunk tank and getting Mr. Jon Pusan in there at least 5 times. The outings we shared made us more like a family than co-workers, and because of that I will miss you one and all.
